Change of Ownership
A New Chapter for Woolpit Clinics
As I sit down to write this, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that Woolpit Clinics has been over the past 11 years. When my Michaela (my mother) and I first set up the clinic, our mission was clear: to create a space that provides health and wellness services to our community with care, compassion, and a deep commitment to promoting wellbeing. Michaela, an acupuncturist with a passion for healing, played a pivotal role in shaping our approach and philosophy. Together, we worked tirelessly to create a space where people could find support for their physical, mental, and emotional health.
During the COVID pandemic, Michaela made the difficult decision to retire. It was a challenging time for all of us, but I’m proud of how the team continued to uphold the values and standards she instilled. Today, Woolpit Clinics stands as a testament to the dedication and love we both poured into this endeavour. We have served countless individuals with the personalised care that has always been at the heart of what we do.
But as with all journeys, there comes a time for new chapters. It is with mixed emotions that I announce I will be stepping down as the head of Woolpit Clinics to focus on completing my PhD in sustainable healthy eating practices for adults in Suffolk. This academic endeavour is something I’m incredibly passionate about, and I believe it will allow me to contribute in a meaningful way to our community and beyond.
In my place, I’m thrilled to introduce Tina Penistone, a respected mental health practitioner and long-standing member of our team, who will be taking over the management of Woolpit Clinics. Tina has been with us for several years and has made a significant impact with her expertise in EMDR and her unwavering commitment to supporting mental health. I have every confidence that Tina will lead Woolpit Clinics into its next chapter with enthusiam and care.
One of the things that excites me most about this transition is Tina’s unique vision for the clinic. I know that under her leadership, Woolpit Clinics will continue to thrive and evolve in ways that serve our community’s ever-changing needs.
While I’m eager to embark on this new academic journey, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of Woolpit Clinics over the years. From the dedicated therapists and practitioners to the wonderful people who have walked through our doors, your trust and support have been invaluable. Developing Woolpit Clinics into what it is today has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I appreciate the memories we’ve made together.
Rest assured, this transition will be smooth, and the high standard of care you’ve come to expect will continue without interruption. Tina and the rest of the team are committed to ensuring that Woolpit Clinics remains a place of health promotion, growth, and well-being for all who seek our services.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Woolpit Clinics under Tina’s capable leadership and while it feels uncomfortable to write such a formal close (those of you who know me, will appreciate this) it feels like the right thing to do, to honour the special and valued space that Woolpit Clinics has become.
Warm regards,
