About me

I am a qualified CIMSPA registered Senior Activity and Health Practitioner and Personal Trainer here to offer a personalised approach to help improve your fitness and to support your health and wellbeing.

My background prior to becoming an exercise professional is in healthcare where I worked in the NHS as a Therapy Radiographer for more than two decades with the later part of my career as an Advanced Practice Radiographer in breast cancer radiotherapy; a fulfilling career supporting many people living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.

I work on a one-to-one basis with clients, as well as providing small group exercise sessions.  Whether you are just starting out on your fitness and wellbeing journey, you are an experienced exerciser or you are recovering from or moving forward with a health condition, incorporating more physical activity into your life can have a positive impact.

As an exercise professional I strive to maintain my own continued professional development to ensure my knowledge is up to date, helping me to provide the best advice and support I can for my clients.  I hold advanced exercise qualifications enabling me to best support those living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis, as well as those individuals living with or at risk of developing chronic health conditions.

My aims are to inspire, motivate and support you, giving you the confidence and knowledge to exercise safely and take care of your physical and mental wellbeing.

My goal is to provide an individualised and holistic approach, promoting independence, helping you to improve in a way that works best for you.  For some this will be a structured programme while for others it may be about finding ways to incorporate a little more physical activity into their day in small manageable and sustainable ways.  We will work together to establish a way that supports you and your wellbeing,  taking into consideration your lifestyle, physical and emotional needs.

“I started exercising with Jade in April 2021 age 59, just 3 months after my COVID infection left me weak, breathless, feeling older than my years and insecure. I had lost all confidence in my body. I had always resisted exercises – just finding them boring as well as exhausting – but it seemed the only way out of the lingering after-effects of COVID for me.  Jade designed exercise sessions for me which never repeated themselves once!  The very first positive effect I noticed was regaining my confidence. I learned that anything I needed to do or wanted to do I could achieve. We worked on strength, balance and flexibility, all of them improving daily life – from cutting my toenails to climbing ladders to scrambling up a bank rescuing my cat- I can do it again.  During 18 months of twice weekly exercises, I have never injured myself once, in fact the niggling pains of advancing age (shoulders, hips etc) are always reduced after a session.
