Jessica SnellingCounsellingStudent Counsellor
I have been fortunate in my life to have travelled worldwide and worked to hold a successful role in national account management. But, for many years I held a desire to work in a therapeutic role with my passion and empathy for others a driving force in my personal relationships along with my want to pursue a role in the helping field.
After experiencing a trauma that led me to feel I had lost myself, I found solace during the personal counselling I received. This experience during that time was enlightening for me in raising my self-awareness and acknowledging my feelings which in turn enabled me to feel acceptance and encouraged me to begin my training to become a Counsellor.
My approach is strongly underpinned by Carl Roger’s core conditions, meaning I will always honour your experience and I will never judge, respecting everyone as an individual.
Through my lived experiences and training I firmly believe that I can offer the empathic, trusting, and confidential environment for clients to freely explore how they feel, what they think and who they are without fear of judgement.
Working at relational depth and building a therapeutic relationship we have the opportunity together to identify your individual needs whilst offering unconditional positive regard and gentle encouragement to promote your wellbeing and aid in your future goals.
