About me

I work as an Integrative Counsellor and offer Therapeutic Services in both a counselling suite environment and a natural outdoor space. I enjoy working creatively and have experience working one-on-one and in group settings.

There are many reasons why I feel passionately about having the privilege of hearing another person’s story. Most of these stem from my own experiences. Having received counselling and different therapies myself has given me an appreciation of just how vital the therapeutic relationship can be in aiding a person to gain tools and empowerment, enabling them to support themselves with greater understanding in their lives.

I am committed to offering a service that provides an empathic, non-judgmental, safe space that values and respects your personal experiences.

When we first meet, I will explain how I work and gain an understanding of the difficulties that you are bringing to therapy so that we can decide if I am the right person for you and plan a way forward. I have trained in many theoretical approaches, allowing me to tailor each session appropriately to your needs.

Together, we have the opportunity to explore personal difficulties in a confidential and supportive environment. Greater self-awareness enables enlightenment and personal growth.

“I have found everything at Woolpit Clinics positive and helpful. It seemed a daunting thought to revisit certain experiences, and I had always questioned whether I would ever feel differently about my feelings. I was initially encouraged by family members to seek professional support and did so reluctantly. However, the journey that Jo and I have been on has been a positive process. It has always felt like a safe and non-judgmental space for me to talk openly and is something I can reliably trust when times have felt hopeless. For the first time that I can remember, I do not feel depressed, I do occasionally have days when I struggle with my anxiety, but it does not overwhelm me as it did before. Knowing that sessions are open-ended and not limited has been an asset, and I look forward to the continuing support available in exploring the new person within me. I strongly encourage anyone who may feel apprehensive about counselling to give it a go!”
