CounsellingStudent CounsellorAbout me
Having struggled with mental health issues and personal challenges in life since teenage years, as an adult I became increasingly interested in psychology and how experiences may shape our personality. Working in childcare and business previously, I gained great understanding in the extent of pain and difficulties so many individuals live with daily.
It was only when I started having personal therapy myself, as part of my counselling training, that I experienced the positive impact of the therapeutic relationship. Fully appreciating how being able to explore my thoughts in a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential environment enabled me to become more self-aware and live a fuller life. I am passionate about counselling training, ongoing personal and professional development and most importantly helping others to explore and grow through their own challenges.
Training and CPD hours include: Diploma in Integrative counselling and Psychotherapy | Safe-guarding adults and children | Safeguarding against radicalisation | Adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and early trauma | Online and telephone counselling certificate | Emotions and emotional disorders | Infant loss and subsequent pregnancies after loss | Tribes of a person-centred nation | Introduction to existential therapy.
Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
