I thoroughly enjoy supporting children, young people and families where there is a new baby. I feel that by offering the right support at the right time, becoming an adult can be a bit easier.
I began my career as a therapist, working within the NHS with adults who had mental health problems. Over the last 10 years, I have worked with children and young people who are struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression and difficulties with managing their big feelings. I currently work part-time within the NHS supporting parents who are struggling to adapt to life with their new baby.
I have always had an interest in people and have wanted to understand why we do the things we do, this curiosity led me to train first as a drama therapist, then in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and later on as a Child Counsellor.
