About me

I am a fully qualified, insured and registered Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist. I run my own successful clinic supporting many clients, including marathon runners, mixed martial art professionals, dancers, tennis players, golfers and professional cyclists including road cyclist, Josh Quigley, in his Guinness World Record achievement in a seven-day cycling event in September 2021.  I have also worked as a mobile therapist and worked out of Osteopath and Holistic therapy clinics.

I pride myself on providing a professional, effective, safe and client centred approach to my work. Many of the conditions I treat include back and neck pain, sciatica, repetitive strain injury, DOMS, piriformis syndrome, frozen shoulder, groin strain and various other injuries and postural issues.  As well as muscle energy and soft tissue techniques, I incorporate dry needling, dry cupping, acupressure, Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork and trigger point therapy amongst other modalities in my treatments. These techniques are invaluable for treating sports injuries, aiding recovery and preventing further injury. They can also be very effective pre and post training. I am trained in the effective use of kinesiology tape which can be of huge benefit for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprain, lymphatic issues etc.  In addition to my remedial sports therapies, I am also a qualified Oncology Massage Therapist.  This work provides support for those who are currently undergoing cancer treatment, as well as those in recovery.

I also provide Hot stone and Swedish Massage. These treatments are highly effective in stimulating deep relaxation, improving circulation, reducing pain and swelling, enhancing sleep, boosting the immune system, improving posture, relieving muscle spasm and relieving stress. When combined with cupping massage, huge benefits to skin tone and smoothness can be also be achieved.  I will sometimes include energy healing and trauma release techniques which are very gentle and can be incredibly effective for those with undiagnosed pain, stressor PTSD and for those who find direct touch too triggering.

“ I really enjoyed my massage and felt very relaxed, which is important to me at the moment whilst undergoing treatment for cancer”, Dani, September 2023

Over the years Sam has treated various ages of family members for sports therapy to muscle tightness due to injuries to remedial ailments. We have all benefited from Sam’s ability to get deep to the core of the issue. We highly recommend Sam if you are looking to get moving freely again”, Juliet, August 2023

“I love being treated by Sam and can thoroughly recommend her. She is extremely knowledgeable about the body and is making a huge difference to the hip and shoulder pain I have suffered from for the last year. She listens and communicates what she is doing so well, I feel very safe in her hands.

Update: just treated myself to a hot stone massage from Sam. So glad I did, it was a wonderful experience, so calming and relaxing. I loved the sensation of the heat, and felt I was just drifting on the edge of sleep. Lovely! Will definitely do this again!”, Lee, June 2021

“Sam was a huge part of my team recently for a world record attempt up in Deeside. After cycling over 300 miles each day I always looked forward to seeing Sam not just because she is an amazing massage therapist, but because she is also a lovely person and makes you feel very calm and relaxed in her company. My body always felt so much better after our sessions and I felt very relaxed. Couldn’t recommend her more for anyone looking for an amazing massage therapist.”, Josh, May 2021

“I saw Sam after I had some lower back pain following an epidural and Caesarean section. The scarwork/fascial release treatment I received was so relaxing and I felt the benefits almost immediately. It was brilliant! I’d been a bit skeptical as to how effective the treatment might be if I’m completely honest but I was amazed! This was a few weeks ago and after just a couple of sessions my back has stayed so much better despite looking after a heavy toddler. Sam has such a lovely empathetic and calming manner. It was a pleasure to see her and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!”,  Clare, Nov 2019
